    The Clinic offers specialised procedures in neurology and neurosurgery. The optimal surgical treatment is evaluated during the consultation at the clinic based on the appropriately selected diagnostic process.

    The procedures are monitored intraoperatively using a modern real-time imaging method known as the C-arm.

    Procedures in the head area

    • Surgical treatment of middle and inner ear infections with balance disorders
    • Myringotomy, ossicular chain reconstruction
    • Intracranial lesions
    • Cranioplasty – in case of congenital defects (for example, Chiari I malformation)
    • Hydrocephalus (for example, ventriculoperitoneal shunt)
    • Pituitary tumours
    • Brain abscesses
    • Proliferative processes – meningiomas, others


    Anomalies

    Sometimes dogs experience developmental disorders or abnormalities. For example, if the flow of cerebrospinal fluid produced in the brain is disrupted, pressure in the brain increases, preventing the normal development of the animal. In case of hydrocephalus it is possible to drain the fluid. A valve is used here; this directs brain water to the abdominal cavity.
